As the death of Natasha Richardson continues to be mourned by many, lights continue to be dimmed in Broadway theaters as a show of honor and a way to pay tribute to this brave wonderful woman. Richardson who was 45, died on Wednesday March 18, 2009, in New York to what is believed to have been an accident that resulted in bleeding to her skull caused by a fall on a ski slope. Sam Mendes, the director of the 1998 film Cabaret said, “it defies belief that this gifted, brave, tenacious, wonderful woman is gone.” Broadway League Executive Director Charlotte St. Martin called Richardson ‘one of the finest young actresses.” Please, feel free to leave a comment on what you think of Natasha Richardson and the legacy she leaves behind.natasha-cabaret1
