Rihanna jetted off to New York City the other day and seems to be thankfully spending some time away from her abusive boyfriend, Chris Brown. Her uncle Robert Fenty said that the R & B singer seems to be doing just fine. She has however, not been in touch with her father for about 2 weeks due to a lost cell phone that is yet to be replaced.

In the meantime, it seems that for Rihanna, her career and her future is not going to be on a standstill and she is having a number of meetings in New York City in connection with her upcoming album and her role in a movie. Her uncle said that Rihanna is enjoying life and trying to get back on track. Or is she trying to black out what happened by going full force into her career?  Please we would love to hear your reviews on this.

It seems that Kanye West is finally dating a model. Her name is Amber Rose. Kanye was spotted during the New York Fashion week with his new love and were again spotted at Nur Khan’s Rose Bar. They were also spotted together attending Narciso Rodriguez and Alexandre Herchcovitch’s fashion week. The New York Daily News was quoted as saying about Kanye and his new love: “ She is going to be good for him. Amber is a model with a fly style and an attitude, just like Kanye. For the first time in 9 years the “O” magazine will feature both Oprah Windfrey and the First Lady on the cover page. The April issue 2009 cover page was displayed by Oprah on her show. The magazine will feature an exclusive interview with the first lady on a number of issues including her plan to help other women as well as decorating philophy. This will be the first exclusive interview with the first black first lady and the first interview since she came into the white house. Drew Barrymore recently told Ellen Degeneres that her new tongue piercing is as a result of her break-up with Justin Long and her inability to land a new boyfriend. She said that she got her new tongue decoration just after the breakup. “ Since I got it I have been single since. Its been nine months now and I don’t know what the deal is with that”, she said.  Drew Barrymore is known for her role in the movie “ET” and recently she has been quite busy that normal, as she moves around trying to promote her box office topping movie ‘He is Just Not That Into You”.  Do you think that Drew Barrymore still got it even after her days in “ET”. Kelly Klarkson recenly boasted that she can talk about anything. Kelly Clarkson who is 26 and reknowned for her 2005 hit song “since you’ve been gone” that topped the charts for a number of weeks said that she has been quoted talking about anything from her health and personal hygiene to her opinion about others. The first American Idol revelaed to Blender magazine that every time she blows her nose, she has to inspect the tissue to know what color the stuff comes. “ If you have a cold, yo have to check to see how sick you are”, she explained.  However, when she was asked about her other personal things, she declined to comment.  She said there is a line she just won’t cross.  What do you think of Kelly’s

Matt Damon was spotted recently wearing a springbok tracksuit as he went on out jogging in Cape Town. He was accompanied by his rugby-playing co-stars as he wore a stylish blonde hairdo. Matt Damon is in South Africa as he stars in the new movie “The Human Factor” to be released in December 2009. “The Human Factor” is a movie based on the life of Nelson Mandela, the first Sotuh African president after the fall of Apartheid. The movie portrays Nelson Mandela as a president who tries to unite a divided South Africa by campaigning for South Africa to host the 1995 Rugby World Cup.  The film also includes other prominet actors like Morgan Freeman, who acts as Nelson Mandela. The movie is directed by Clint Eastwood.  Let us hear your comments on this.

It seems that Lindsay Lohan and Sam were involved in a Rihanna-Chris confrontation. Although no one is reported to have smashed another’s face, police were recently called in at Lohan’s place after a supposed fight between the two. Miss Lohan has been involved in more than one drinking under influence case and was on probation. It seems that the cops
were looking for Lindsay; however, the Beverly Hills police lieutenant denied such claims saying that her attorney is expected to resolve this issue.  What do you think of the relationship between her and Sam?  Do you think they will make it work?  Drop us a line.

Do you remember the most generous celebrities last year? Well top on the list was Oprah Winfrey. This year, the list is out and guess who tops the list? If you guessed Oprah Winfrey, you are right. Oprah still holds the position while others include Angeline Jolie and Jessica Simpson.  It seems that behind each celebrity there is a manager, an agent, a personal trainer and of course a crucial affiliation with a charity.  Most of these celebrities feel that donating to charity is a way of giving back to the society and in some cases; it serves to add to their fame through social-climbing. Kate Winslet, the “Titanic” star, recently said that she plans to keep her recently won Best Acress Academy award in an unusual place in her home. “The statue is going in the toilet, next to Sam’s! I’m not taking it on a set. I’m just going to work the way I’ve always worked, which is just to get on with it.” The 33-year year old actress is married to Oscar-winning director Sam Mendes and they have 2 children, one adopted from Kate’s former marriage and their 5-year old son together.  “I hope it won’t change anything in how other directors and actors work with me”, she said after revealing where she places her prized awards. She also admitted that she is tired of having to to wear lavish gowns while attending awards ceremonies and she jokingly said that she plans to be in comfy pyjamas the coming year.  Do you think she is serious?

Britney seems to be re-living her life in music stardom. Her new album seems to be doing quite well with her single “Circus” topping February’s radio chart. The track “circus”, contained in her album by the same name is also her 5th number one song overall.  Other songs from her “Circus” album that seem to be doing well on the billboards are “Womanizer” and “If You Seek Amy”.  Britney seems to be doing it all over again after a break and a few scandals. She is remembered for hit songs “born to make you happy”, “My Prerogative”, “Slave” and other countless hits. Her fans definitely want to see more of her. What do you think?
